The Festool IAS 3-SD is a compact connection adapter designed for operating compatible Festool pneumatic sanders directly from a compressed-air supply without connecting a dust extraction system. It is particularly useful for painted finishing and other applications where extraction is not required at the machine, giving professionals a simple and efficient way to supply compressed air to their Festool pneumatic sanding equipment. The IAS 3-SD works with the IAS 3 interface used on LEX 3 sanders as well as the IAS 2 interface found on compatible LEX 2 and LRS machines. When combined with the Festool DL compressed-air hose 497215, the adapter creates a straightforward compressed-air connection that is especially well suited to finishing work with the compact LEX 3 77 pneumatic random orbital sander. At only 90 mm long, the adapter adds very little bulk at the machine and maintains the quick, practical connection philosophy of the Festool IAS system.
